Michael Jackson was the most influential pop musician of his generation. He changed the face of soul music and R&B. And as any singer who came after him will attest, he was the king. We spoke with multi-platinum R&B singer Mario today about the Michael's influence on his music. Like many of today's artists, Mario's music is clearly inspired by the pop legend. His 2004 single, 'Let Me Love You' has been described by reviewers as "reminiscent of Michael Jackson's vintage romantic ballads."
"R.I.P. to the King of Pop and one of my biggest inspirations," Mario said, expressing his respect. "I will forever be inspired by Micheal's music and more then that, his passion for the art."
Mario's fourth album, 'And Then There Was Me' is scheduled for release later this year.
