Tupac fans will get a chance to hear new music from the late rapper -- even though he's been dead for over a decade. WIDEawake Entertainment, the company that purchased Death Row Records in January, is set to release an album full of unreleased songs from the slain emcee.WIDEawake will partner with music publisher EverGreen to both compose and master the content. "After purchasing the Death Row catalog in January, WIDEawake began looking for a partner to help monetize their rights," said EverGreen CEO David Schulhof.
"We already had a relationship through the estate of Tupac Shakur. WIDEawake was looking for an exclusive boutique company to help focus on licensing in the film, television, video game and ad world and because we own the catalogs of Tupac and others, they knew we already had experience in the genre. So, it just felt like the obvious choice for them to partner up with us for Death Row."
The album will be released in June 2010, marking the deceased rapper's 39th birthday. In September, WIDEawake will also release 'The Chronic Re-Lit,' a revamped version of the 1992 Dr. Dre album.

I never thought it would be refreshing to hear that Two-Pack had a new album out. I'm so sick of hearing about the freak, a little news about the long dead rapper is, just that, refreshing.
