Michael Jackson's Body Returns to Neverland for Viewing

While Michael Jackson's friends, family and millions of fans attempt come to terms with the pop legend's death, plans have been made for his the viewing of his body.

A public viewing for has been scheduled for Friday at his Neverland Ranch, with a private service to follow on Sunday.

A 30-car motorcade has been organized to transport the King of Pop's remains at 10 am from Los Angeles to Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara County, though it is not yet known where Jackson will ultimately be buried.

The Neverland Ranch was purchased by Jackson in 1987, and though he ran into financial difficulties, he maintained a stake in the ranch until his death.

Following the viewing, the Mayor of Jackson's hometown of Gary, Indiana, has discussed the idea of bringing the body to Gary for a memorial service next week with the Jackson family.

"I believe that his body will lie in state in Gary, Indiana," Mayor Rudy Clay said. "Now, it may not happen, but I believe it will."

Elvis is not buried in a cemetery. There are ways to amend the law so that Michael is buried correctly but at Neverland. I believe that would be fitting since he really chose that a retreat from his hectic world.

I can't believe all of his "fans" are in agreement with burying Michael Jackson at Neverland. He said when he left Neverland he would NEVER return. All of the bad press and accusations happened there. It was made dirty, it's innocence lost with all of the lawsuits and such. Respect him enough to believe that as he did. It was no longer the happy place it use to be

MJ was a great individual, father and son. There will never be another like him in this lifetime. He was very gifted & blessed and God only grants a few of us with those special gifts. Michael perfected his talent/gift and shared it with us the entire world. He loved his family, friends and fans so much. So, I don't care to think about all the negative issues. I'm just grateful for the love he shared with us and Neverland is the perfect place to display that. Remember his last words "I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, I REALLY DO LOVE YOU". That kind of love should be within all of us and maybe this world would be a better place!! GOD BLESS & PEACE BE UNTO YOU

I just hurt about this entire episode about MJ. I believe he really was a man child, NOT a pedophile and had need for some therapy way back, initially to get through and past all the grief his horrible father and childhood caused him. That would have been most helpful, but he did not do that. He never learned how to deal with his enormous celebrity and all the problems that go with it. I can't believe he fell into that same ugly trap of using to get through the day and night, and just to cope--just like Judy Garland did, another childhood star with a bad past. Either way, he can't be buried in Neverland, as they may have to sell it just to pay off his debts, and having to move his body later would be worse.

I still cant believe this happened. MJ was basically the basis for all hip hop and many other kinds of music that we all listen to today. And that idea that he should be buried at Neverland aint half bad.

I will always play his music til the day I die.

RIP The Greatest Ever
