While Michael Jackson's friends, family and millions of fans attempt come to terms with the pop legend's death, plans have been made for his the viewing of his body.A public viewing for has been scheduled for Friday at his Neverland Ranch, with a private service to follow on Sunday.
A 30-car motorcade has been organized to transport the King of Pop's remains at 10 am from Los Angeles to Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara County, though it is not yet known where Jackson will ultimately be buried.
The Neverland Ranch was purchased by Jackson in 1987, and though he ran into financial difficulties, he maintained a stake in the ranch until his death.
Following the viewing, the Mayor of Jackson's hometown of Gary, Indiana, has discussed the idea of bringing the body to Gary for a memorial service next week with the Jackson family.
"I believe that his body will lie in state in Gary, Indiana," Mayor Rudy Clay said. "Now, it may not happen, but I believe it will."

Lamentablemente this human being who was truly kind, GIVING,loving, "NEWS"(BAD or good(very little cause it doesn't sell)lived an unhappy existence because what he truly wanted was a true family which he at least lived and enjoyed was his children and for that I thank god. Let us allow him and his children live in peace. At least MJ will but now it is up to us to help his children grow up to rememer their father as a man who loved music but more than that loved his children. Que en paz descanza" (Rest in Peace Michael JACKSON. Love a fan of yours as a musical genus but a man who loved life and gave to all he loved his music) Mucho carino Quetz

Why can't he be buried at Neverland (which he loved so much)as his past father-in-law was buried at Graceland? At least his fans could take tours of Neverland and the entry fees could go toward his financial debt and hopefully could be paid off. This would give his children financial security one day.

Dee,
That is an excellent idea and I am sure many others have thought of the same idea. Neverland was where Michael was the most happy and that is where he should rest in peace.

Dee,
As for Micheal Jacksonson's children, thay are more than well off to begin with.I believe that burying him at Never Neverland might be a good idea, but others might think otherwise.Atleast he will be protected there. Visitors, fans and donations will bring back the beauty it once had.M.J will be in our hearts forever. Long live the King of POP!

It has to do with the laws of California. There was something in the news reports earlier about Gov. Arnold trying to skirt around that but there not being enough time. Honestly, I don't know how there isn't enough time for the man has already died and the Gov could call a special session to get this done. Unfortunately, it would mean MJ being placed back in the morgue until such sessions could be conducted and I don't think his fmaily would want that...Sad sad sad. I wish all the best to his children, siblings, parents, and remaining family and friends.

i totally agree, his children do not need to be burdened with their father's debts, the children are going through enough heartache as it is already. Godlove him and watch over his family and children. R,I,P Michael Jackson, you are already being missed in the hearts of the billions world wide that love you.

HE CANNOT BE BURIED AT HIS RANCH FOR SEVERAL REASONS. 1) HUMANS CAN ONLY BE BURIED IN DESIGNATED
BURIAL SITES. WE WOULD HAVE GRAVES ALL OVER THE PLACE IF THIS WERE NOT A LAW. AND IT WOULD MAKE IT EASY FOR MURDERES AS WELL. 2) JACKSON DIED WITH MASSIVE FINANCIAL DEBT. HIS DEBT HAS TO BE PAID BY SELLING HIS HOLDINGS WHICH IS A NORMAL PROCEDURE.

It's really a shame. I have been watching some videos of his early years. It's too bad he wasn't happy with who he was and tried so hard to change himself. He should have been himself. I never was a big fan of his, but I still think his life was tragic. It should have turned out better.

AEROKINGS:
If anyone thinks he should not "rest in peace" at Neverland they have more problems than they think Michael may have had. That is the most protected resting place he could ever be at. It would be policed 24/7 just as other high profile burial places are if it were to be his burial place. As for his children being "well taken care of" that's ok too. He loved them more than life itself and died for the cause.

He needs to be burried in Neverland. This was the one and only place is was able to be free. And escape all the pain and torure he was exposed to by his father when he was a kid. Let his soul be free to have fun like he was never able to do in life.

At the age of 58 I can also say that I had a traumatic childhood that would rival Jacksons. Let's face it, life often is not easy so why should we single out one person and blame their parent when so many other factors contributed to his childhood. No one has a perfect childhood or life for that matter. Jackson was a gifted entertainer and musician and shared that gift with the world. May God Bless his family.
