Rapper Lil Wayne is calling in sick, canceling his European tour, which was set to begin July 2 in Paris. According to reports, the New Orleans rapper is out on doctor-approved rest, and will not appear in any of the seven dates.Wayne was scheduled to perform two shows alongside rapper Kid Cudi during the 10-day jaunt. The 26-year-old was also billed to take the stage for two nights in London as well as an appearance at Denmark's Roskilde Festival.
"Lil Wayne extends an apology to his fans for the short notice of this postponement," said a statement released on behalf of the rapper. "But looks forward to returning for the performances and visitation with his fans."
Tickets for the show went on sale last spring, and no alternate performance dates have been scheduled.
Wayne's North American fans will get a chance to see the four-time Grammy winner on his 'America's Most Wanted' tour, which kicks off this summer. The roster includes rappers Drake, Soulja Boy Tell Em, and Young Jeezy.
