Bow Wow Depressed? Rapper Says 'I'm Down More Than I'm Happy'

Rapper Bow Wow left an alarmingly candid message Tuesday, revealing his depression, The 22-year-old wrote of his unhappiness via his Twitter page.

"Man I be [getting] bored [with] life," Bow wrote. "I wish I [never] did and seen [everything] so soon. I have [nothing] to look forward 2. I'm down more than I am happy...in a dark place! Goodbye."

Ironically, this post came on the same day when most (if not all) of the world was mourning the loss of music icon Michael Jackson, whose public memorial aired Tuesday.

The post has since been removed and replaced with the more optimistic: "I'M 'BOUT TO GO LIIIIIVE!!!!!" written earlier this morning.

This isn't the first time that Bow has turned to his Twitter page to express his feelings. He recently wrote about his disdain towards his birth father. Additionally the rap star also twittered that he wanted out of his contract with longtime label Columbia Records. He has since been released from the label.

Following the less than stellar sales of his latest 'New Jack City Part 2' album, Bow announced that he was retiring from music to focus on his acting career. He currently has two films in post-production and will reprise his roll on the HBO series 'Entourage,' appearing later this month.

I can't believe that New Jack City didn't perform well. Bow Wow's raps were solid on that album and I loved the one song that samples the S.O.S. Band's underrated 1986 song Even When You Sleep! I remembered hearing it in 1986 when I was 16 and I liked how Bow and Jermaine Dupri did a good job interpolating it on that track! Clashes the '80s and 2009 in the same song!

sweetheart u r still young, u r blessed,sweetie maybe u should go back 2 school and futher u education.2 all u ignort people out there depression is a very sad and real illness, it's not something i wish on anyone. as far as his skin color goes GOD made us all and he made no mistakes.

People act like celebrities aren't human. WTF is with that? Y'all need to leave Bow Wow alone. I've been diagnosed with clinical depression at 18 and I'm black so depression definately doesn't discriminate. It's a serious thing and nothing to joke about. I hope Bow Wow keeps his head up and remains positive, he'll get through this somehow.

Music

The advice "Give your life to God" and "Accept Jesus Christ" are vague,empty statements. What he needs to do is learn the truth from God's word, the Bible. He should apply what he learns in his life and serve God the way he wants you to, as outlined in the Bible, not according to man's traditions or what you may feel is okay because that's what you want to give God. Well I don't think anyone can dispute what you feel that you think you have seen and done everything at 22. But thats because most 22 year olds are in search of the fame, luxury and status that you have already achieved. One thing that is common between all of us, is when we feel lost, we are in a dark place. I remember Kelly (Rowland) said she took a year off and moved to Miami and just grew before she wrote songs and released her last album.Maybe you should take some time to sit back and reassess where you should go from here. Cause til its your time to go, there is still a lot more left for you to do on earth, sugar pie.

You know what i noticed about him, he is always depressed, and he is always down with his life, i dont know why but he is, I think we just need to pray for him, cause i would hate to see him hurt his self, cause he is very talented, and gifted. God bless him and help him, and help him find his ways in life, because i know it dont end at rapping, he is a great actor ,so maybe he can do that. But i pray that God clear's his path, and allow him to see his way. He also have temper tatrums, when he dont get his way, and i pray that God also takes that away

I really dont understand how you let yourself get lost in this world I can tell you this I once was lost but now I am found was blind but now i see. I dont have your money and fame but after this life is the judgement you have got to get to church and get baptized in Jesus Name the rich young ruler in the bible was asked to give up all his possessions I want you to search in the bible and see what happened just know there is abundant life and it doesnt have to be with money.
