Lil Mama Compares Michael Jackson's Passing to the Death of Christ

Just 24 hours after Michael Jackson's sudden death on June 25, 19-year-old rapper Lil' Mama expressed her sadness to Rap-Up TV while on the red carpet at Rap-Up's 4th Anniversary & Summer Issue Release Party in West Hollywood.

The 'Lip Gloss' rapper, who lost her mom to cancer in 2007, showed her emotional and religious side when she compared the King of Pop's passing to the death of Jesus Christ.

"Jesus Christ touched so many people. The story that they gave of this man. ... He healed people,"the 'Lip Gloss' rapper told Rap-Up TV. "Michael Jackson did the same thing, not only with his music, but with his performance and his personality."

There were indeed many similarities in how Jesus and Michael were both loved by their followers and betrayed by people around them.But I don't think that Michael would have wanted to be compared to Jesus although he was definitely striving to be Christlike and quoted from the bible often. He even said that if he was with Jesus in the same room, he would surely follow him everywhere Jesus went. He always gave back the Glory to God every time he was asked where his talents and gifts came from. Michael was a gift from God and probably an angel in disguise. ;)

In some ways, Michael was like Jesus, but Michael was sinful, unlike Jesus. Jesus performed miracles,so did Michael, through song.

I liked Mike,I really did. He was a talented performer without equal. BUT! Comparing him to my Lord Jesus Christ is just plain blasphemous. I know I'll get mucho heat ranging from "He's not real" all the way to my personal favorite "Christianity is the "white man's" religion". (Nevermind that the Allah worshipping Arabs were knee deep in the slave trade) Luckily I don't care. Michael was a top entertainer/showman. But he was no where near Christ. No one is. Peace!

Michael Jackson was great for entertainment and for many causes, and for that I commend him. Nevertheless, I would NEVER EVER compare him - flaws and all - to JESUS CHRIST! I just think Lil Mama mispoke though, bless her heart. Nonetheless, if anybody out there knows her, please tell her to never do that again!

Okay...I understand what she's sayin', but NO HUMAN BEING should EVER be compared to Jesus Christ, whether the intentions are good or bad.
