Just 24 hours after Michael Jackson's sudden death on June 25, 19-year-old rapper Lil' Mama expressed her sadness to Rap-Up TV while on the red carpet at Rap-Up's 4th Anniversary & Summer Issue Release Party in West Hollywood. The 'Lip Gloss' rapper, who lost her mom to cancer in 2007, showed her emotional and religious side when she compared the King of Pop's passing to the death of Jesus Christ.
"Jesus Christ touched so many people. The story that they gave of this man. ... He healed people,"the 'Lip Gloss' rapper told Rap-Up TV. "Michael Jackson did the same thing, not only with his music, but with his performance and his personality."

I totally agree. He has affected the world in an everlasting way. He had loyal followers, he had those who pretended then betrayed him. He had a powerful force against him (the media in this case) and they crucified him. He did't die on the cross, he had to leave his country. His brother asked "how much pain can one endure?" Michael endured endless suffering at the hands of those who did not understand his goodness. His inability to act in an evil or malicious manner. The corrupt minds of the masses made him the target of their scorn. He is indeed very much like Jesus. A decent human being who treated anyone he met with respect and love and reached out through his art to the masses to do the same. Respect one another no matter what. The teachings of Jesus are upheld in the positive messages of Michael's music. Rest in Peace sweet angel.

NO, NO, NO!!!!! Honey, I know you mean well, but NO, NO, NO!!!
God blessed him with the gifts that he had, but we must remember he was only a human being, flesh and blood like the rest of us. We appreciate what he did in life, but he is never, as no one is, to be compared to our Lord and Savior. NEVER!!!!!

And so was jesus chris a human being flesh and blood, so dont get it twisted boo. An in the bible it also says that there are angels that walk the earth, and they are known by their good deeds, So there is a such thing that michael jackson may have been an angel that walked the earth, Now im not sayin he is jesus or what have u, but i do believe he was an angel, and if u look at his life and look at what the bible says about jesus life they are compared in so many ways. So say what u want but thats her outtake and i can totally agree with her.

NO NO HONEY.... Michael Jackson can be compared to Jesus Christ, for those who choose too. Christ was a man as well, and the only thing that makes christ super human or incomparable is human interpretations based upon religious text that are vast. He is compared to Chirst because of his positive influence; people worship him; he exuded global appeal and influence. Christ did not even have global appeal when he was alive- that took several years to a couple thousand for that to happen. Micheal achieved that in less than 15 years. Then many are not even sure Christ even existed- which an anthropological and historical fact. Yes Micheal Jackson, was an entertainment Messiah that changed alot of things for alot of people. God Bless Him. He is truly and in a better place and as Jesus said, and you shall do these things and more... MJ did just that. PERIOD

Hell No! You are wrong for that! How dare you compare him to HIM!!!!!!! So what if he released great songs, we are all still imperfect, he was too. My Jesus was sinless, don't you ever forget that! There has been such a drama about ML's death, but how many of you want to cry, bitch, moan and completely stop your life for the person that came to this earth to save you for eternity. You got things messed up. -Peanut

hello
I know what lil mama is meaning in the sense that he touched lives and yes you are right he should never be compared to Jesus as he would agree but if you use language like this that you are using how can you be a light to anyone the world must understand it is micheals time to be judged and love covers a multitude of sins.
staceyjm05at 7-09-2009
I completely agree!! For someone to compare ANYONE on this earth to Jesus Christ is VERY ignorant and uneducated.

MJ's ideals of childhood frozen in time will be made into a book to follow. His life was the ideal model to follow. He took the sins of the world away and carried the weight on his shoulders. MJ will be the ideal on how to live.

And just when i thought i couldn't read anything dumber, lil mama opens her mouth. I guess the non-dressing-one-hit-wonder has to make headlines somehow.

Nowhere in the bible did I read that Jesus grabbed his crotch or sing about (denying) impregnating someone out of wed-lock (billie jean)... And I have never, nor would I, end a prayer with "In Michael's name I pray"... So comparing Michael with Jesus is unbelievably moronic... But then again you just can't fix stupid.... Wow....

she's young y'all, she doesn't know any better... MJ wouldn't want to be compared to Jesus- he may have had the love of Jesus in his heart but he was flawed like the rest of us.

If you don't know what your talking about you need to shut the f*@ up. Don't ever put that man next to jesus christ.I was born in mj era...great talent but I never look up to him because he taught changing his skin was the answer, damn being that black is that bad. Jesus taught love and to be you. Bob Marley death got more meaning to me than Mj! Get over children nobody is forever

Its funny because I was talking to someone right after jackson passed and she said the same thing. She said that all Michael Jackson had in his heart was love for the common man. He tried to help the world and got stones tossed at him in return.. Now I don't agree with her. Jackson was just a person like you or I.. (I think he was at least.. he did seem a little weird at times in the end there...) But i do know one thing for sure. his soul seems to be a very powerful one. Maybe god did send one of his favorite angles down to the earth in the form of Michael Jackson.. haha.. who knows! RIP MJ the world is definately a better place just because you lived..
