Lil Wayne Blames Label for 'Rebirth' Delay

Lil Wayne is putting the blame on his record label, Universal Records, for delaying his 'Rebirth.' The New Orleans born emcee claims that his rock album is finished, despite the many release date push-backs. "The album is done," he said in an interview. "[It's] ready to go... just waiting on the label to press it up and ship it."

Despite the slow moving project, Wayne is keeping himself busy headlining the 'America's Most Wanted' tour, which kicks off this month. The 47-date tour also features rappers Drake, Soulja Boy Tell Em, and Young Jeezy.

The 26-year-old is also preparing a reunion with former rap group the Hot Boys. "We're working on it right now. Everything looks like it's a go," he said. "We're just waiting on [member] Turk to get out [of prison] and once that goes, then we're good. [He should be out] soon. I'm not sure of the exact date, but very soon."

As previously reported by TheBoomBox, 'Rebirth' was set to hit stores in July but, according to a source at Wayne's label, the project is "coming soon."

Hey CeCe

I'm sorry but that shyt needs to be pushed on to never. I used to absolutely LOVE listening to weezy, but now its really painful. Idk where this rock thing came from. I mean trust me, I love some My Chemical Romance and Green Day... even System of a Down but its harsh to mix that sound with autotune. Really harsh. I pray thats not the direction of his entire album.
