Reunited and it feels so good ... Harlem-bred rappers Mase and Cam'ron recently teamed up on the song 'Get It,' after years of estrangement. The new track hit New York radio airwaves last week.
Mase confirmed the reunion on his Twitter page. "Cam' man what did I tell you. NYC we back once more! Man it feels good to be back," he wrote. "I appreciate the love and support! Cam' let's "Get It!"
In 1998, Mase appeared on Cam's his single 'Horse and Carriage,' the two apparently parted ways not long after. In recent years both Mase and Cam have shied away from the spotlight. Mase famously left Bad Boy Records in 1999 to become a preacher but made a short-lived return to music, releasing 'Welcome Back' in 2004.
After breaking up with his Diplomat crew members, Cam took time off to care for his ailing mother. The group has yet to completely reconcile.
Although it is unclear if the track is for a forthcoming album for Mase, the rapper credits the death of pop icon Michael Jackson, as inspiration to jump back into the music game.
Cam's album 'Crime Pays' was released in May.
