C-Murder's Friend Claims Responsibility for Slaying

Rapper C-Murder faces life in prison for the murder of 16-year-old fan Steve Thomas in a New Orleans nightclub seven years ago. Just three weeks before his re-trial for the murder, a fellow prisoner, and friend of C-Murder's (aka Corey Miller) has confessed to the Thomas slaying.

The prisoner, Juan Flowers, is serving a life sentence for an unrelated 2007 murder. Though he never before came forward, he now admits to firing the shots which fatally wounded the 16-year old. He also claims that he and Miller are somehow "not responsible" for the murder.

Flowers' confession directly contradicts previous testimony given by another of Miller's friends, Dwayne "Wango" Cobbins, who claimed under oath that on the night in question, he'd seen Miller hide a small gun in his boot before entering the nightclub. However, Cobbins stated that he couldn't see who shot Thomas, due to a melee that occurred just before the shooting. Cobbins is currently serving nine years for threatening a witness in Miller's case.

A judge is currently reviewing Flowers' confession to decide its validity. If deemed necessary, he will be moved to Georgia to testify in Miller's case.

Miller is currently serving a 10-year sentence for an unrelated second-degree murder, after having been caught on camera while attempting to shoot a club owner and bouncer.

What a mess.

And by the way,to most of the bloggers here: By your language, you obviously have a very limited vocabulary, and that is all part of lack of education,no grammar skills,no spelling skills. The reason these men BECOME rappers,is because they wouldn't be able to make a living anywhere else! What other industry glorifies and condones the sickening lyrics and violence that accompanies every rapper. What a waste of lives. LEARN A MARKETABLE SKILL! Then maybe you won't get shot by one of your "co-workers"!

It looks like you need to redirect your skills too, period. And its not the co-workers shooting the rapper it the rappers shooting their fans. And I'm sure your kids or kids, kids will listen to the rappers too rather you like it or not, and you can't stop them in the future. Try to understand what you reading. AH

Universalic200 Who you callin a bitch? All rap and most of what passes for music today stinks. I don't just mean bad, I mean stinks like isht! Why do rappers and their ilk feel like they have to act like badasses. They strut around with a diaper on their heads, tattooed with some half ass chinese letters, wearing earrings and over sized jewelry like some pirates whore. Like I told some punk on my block in Philly a few years back,"Rap" is by, for and about nothing. Leave Country Music alone. Trust me they don't want anything to do with losers like you.
