Young Jeezy Calls DJ Drama a 'Cornball'

It can be difficult to pin down the source of a hip-hop beef, but in the case of Young Jeezy and DJ Drama, at least part of the problem can be traced back to a January screening of 'Notorious' in Atlanta, where a scuffle broke out between the members of each respective entourage.

Post battle, a war of words emerged between the two artists, who have collaborated on several successful mixtapes in the past. And in an upcoming issue of XXL magazine, Jeezy had some choice words for Drama, including calling him a "cornball" -- a good old-fashioned way to signal the end of a partnership. He accused Drama of being dishonest in their dealings. "You made millions off my mixtapes, to the point where the f---in' feds scooped you up for bootlegging. I never even made the money he made off of 'Trap or Die' or 'Tha Streetz Iz Watchin,' because they were selling and distributing them and making money," Jeezy said.

Jeezy went on the say that Drama overcharged him for a mixtape which featured one of his artists, and vowed never to work with Drama again because of his dishonesty. We will never do a mixtape together," Jeezy said. "I didn't charge that n---- for [contributing a verse to the song '5000 Ones,' on Drama's official debut]. But then when I need [a tape for one of my artists], and you want to charge me $20,000?"

After his vent, Jeezy made a reassuring statement that his biting words were satisfaction enough and that he had no intention of making the beef physical. "I'll slap the s--- out of Drama. He knows that. He wasn't loyal," he said. "But me putting my hands on that man ain't gonna make him respect what I'm saying. I'm just not gonna f--- with him anymore."
