It was just another day at the office until a few of my co-workers informed us that Crooked I gave AOL a shout-out at the end of his new 'My H's on the Side' freestyle. The freestyle addresses the laundry list of jokes being made regarding the rapper's misspelled tattoo. We can only assume, as many other media outlets did, that the ink was supposed to say "Slaughterhouse," which is the name of Crooked's supergroup with Joe Budden, Royce da 5'9" and Joell Ortiz. While we were a little disappointed Crooked didn't shout out The BoomBox, which is where the story actually lives, we're glad to see the Detroit-based MC has a sense of humor.
In the freestyle, Crooked clears the air and lets the world know that he's very happy with his tat. Apparently, what we thought was clearly a snafu due to poor spelling on someone's part was in fact Crooked I letting the world know that he likes his "H"'s on the side, as suggested in the song.
