In an effort to quickly rectify the mess that was the less than stellar 'Best I Ever Had' video, which was directed by Kanye West, Drake teamed up with friend and crooner Trey Songz to film the video for 'Successful.'The track was originally featured on Drake's 'So Far Gone' mixtape, but will now appear on Songz' third album 'Ready,' due September 1.
This time around Drake has entrusted the direction of the video to director Jake Davis. Shot in the rapper's hometown of Toronto, the video is expected to make up for Drake's lackluster first shot at building a videography worthy of his buzz.
"I am fully cognitive of the moment and will do everything in my power to make this THE VIDEO," Davis wrote on his blog.
There's no word as to when Drake and Songz' fans can expect to see the final product.
