Everyone's favorite rapper, Drizzy Drake, is set to go under the knife after injuring his knee two months ago. The rapper took to his Twitter page to update his fans. "In the studio," he wrote. "Working on 'Thank Me Later'...magic...surgery September 8th! Then we're back in business."The 22-year-old tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in June. Despite doctor's orders he embarked on the 'America's Most Wanted' tour, before falling on stage during a performance in New Jersey. Since his fall, the rapper took time off to recuperate in his hometown of Toronto and has made spot appearances on the tour.
"What the footage doesn't show is that I actually came out of the sky that night," Drake said in interview. "I was 20 feet in the air on a little platform. I was staring out into the crowd and when I landed on that platform, I blacked out and really forgot I was injured. I was just so full of adrenaline, so happy to be there, it kind of set in for me.
"I would say it [the fall] was borderline more painful than the initial tear. It was bad. It buckled, popped. I was down. I remember slapping the ground. I couldn't believe it. I saw the lights coming down. [I thought to myself] 'Did I just fall?' I was in so much pain then that I didn't care at the time."
Drake has been resting up but has not stopped working. He recently shot the video for 'Successful' and is working on his forthcoming debut 'Thank Me Later.'
