Bobby Brown Fails to Pay Child Support Again, Slammed with Arrest Warrant

An arrest warrant has been issued for Bobby Brown in his home state of Massachusetts after the Grammy-winning R&B singer failed to show up at a child support hearing.

According to sources, Brown, 40, has been delinquent in paying ex-girlfriend Kim Ward $5,000 a month in child support since last November. Brown's child support debt for their two children together, Bobby Jr. and Laprincia, reportedly totals $45,000.

When Brown was a no show at a contempt-of-court hearing for the debt in Canton, Massachusetts on June 29, Norfolk Probate and Family Court Judge Christina L. Hams issued an arrest warrant.

"She's been keeping [his case] on a fairly tight rein," Norfolk Register of Probate Patrick W. McDermott said in a statement. "Judge Harms ordered that he appear in court on that day. When he failed to do so, an arrest warrant was issued."

This doesn't mark the first time that Brown, who has three other children, including one with R&B diva Whitney Houston, has been delinquent with child support payments to Ward. In 2007 he spent four days in jail for falling behind $27,739 and failing to contribute to a Christmas present allowance, medical bills and an assortment of other fees.
