A bench warrant has been issued for Beanie Sigel after the Philadelphia rapper failed to appear in court for a drug-possession charge on Sept.14.State police pulled Sigel over in Wrightstown, New Jersey, on Aug. 16 while en route to a private performance at the local venue Kelly's Bar, owned by a local councilman. Beans, who was not driving, and two companions were also charged with marijuana possession after cops came across less than 50 grams of marijuana.
Sigel, born Dwight Grant, missed his mandatory court appearance Monday morning. In response to his absence, Judge Gregory McCloskey issued a bench warrant for his arrest. No further details about the warrant have been released, thus far, leaving Sigel a hunted man.
The former Roc-A-Fella rapper has had his share of brushes with the law. In 2008, he spent three months in jail after violating his probation a third time when he tested positive for Xanax and Percocet.His most recent album/mixtape 'Broad Street Bully' was released on Sept. 1 on Siccness Records.
