Drake Wants 'Thank Me Later' to Drop in February

This year's breakout rap star Drake will be releasing his full-length debut sooner than later, if he has his way. On Tuesday, Sept. 15, the Canadian MC called into former BET host Big Tigger's syndicated radio show, 'Live in the Den' and announced plans to push the release date of his much-discussed first album, 'Thank Me Later,' to February of 2010.

"The storm is brewing," Drake told Tigger. "The ominous clouds are starting to form. It's about to be a problem. I don't know, I'm hoping February. That'll be a nice release month. It's gonna follow the same formula as the mixtape. It's gonna be a step up. That's my goal. It's gonna be very dark and sexy and all the things I like to embody in my music. You're gonna hear me rapping about my life."

'Thank Me Later' boasts rumored appearances by Jay-Z, Eminem, Kanye and Young Jeezy. Drake just released the EP version of his popular 'So Far Gone' mixtape on Tuesday, and is currently still recuperating from his recent knee surgery.
