We love to hear about musicians giving back. In addition to preparing for the release of his upcoming album 'Warning Shots,' which drops Oct. 6, Saigon will participate in a charity event put on by In Arms Reach to give back to children with incarcerated parents. Saigon, who was once incarcerated, was inspired by a friend's tale of dealing with being behind bars while his children deal with his absence. Saigon, along with In Arms Reach, looks to "empower children who have parents that have been within the prison system. By employing arts and music, children will be able to acknowledge their true potential and realize that they have purpose."
The event, which is supported by the City College for City University of New York and the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, will take place on Sept. 29.
