After months of court dates, media scrutiny and public ridicule, Chris Brown is back on the path to career recovery. The 20-year-old R&B singer gave his first in-depth interview about the February assault incident with ex-girlfriend Rihanna to CNN's Larry King earlier this month, then began his process of repentance. In the past two weeks, Brown has been snapped cleaning up trash in his home state of Virgina as a part of his 180-day community service sentence, but with all his legal and moral troubles, Brown has spent very little time on stage in the past few months.
Apart from a fill-in performance for Drake on Lil Wayne's 'America's Most Wanted' tour in August, Brown has shied away from the stage and remained in the studio to work on his forthcoming LP. But after his long hiatus from performing, Brown is set to headline Power 105.1's Powerhouse concert in New Jersey next month, along with a slew of performers that includes Keri Hilson, Fabolous, The Dream and Trey Songz.
The concert will be Brown's first effort to promote his upcoming album, 'Graffitti,' and jump back into his stage show. Although there has been no release date set for 'Graffiti,' the album's first single, 'Transformer,' featuring Lil Wayne will hit the radio soon.
Power 105.1's Powerhouse concert will be held at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Oct. 27.

First he bitched about himself not winning an award, then he bitched about someone else not winning one....he's nothing if not a predictable asshole.

Would U give him a break if it were your Mother,Daughter,Sister,Niece or any other Female you Loved? I think not! Give his ASS a good beat down!

He needs serious counseling and then maybe he will be ready to go back to work. He cannot possibly be rehabilitated that quickly after beating up a woman that badly. I saw her face. There is just no excuse for that. NO forgiveness. I am sorry but I cannot fogive that. I will never listen to his music again. I wish him no harm but I will not contribute to that nor to the illness that Kanye West has either...alcoholism./

He is only 20. Look at all the other artists who have did the same and worse and didn't learn anything ( James Brown, Ike Turner, JZ, and on and on). As for not having talent, I am not a Chris Brown fan but he does have talent no matter how you look at it. He can dance, sing, act. Lots of you "regular folks" have encountered much worse. The problem is as a society we idealize these so call "stars" and then get disappointed for them falling short of our expectations. I for one will watch and see what happens.
And no before anyone comments, I don't think what he did is right, it is absolutly wrong. But I also don't think he should be condemned for the rest of his life. This is his job. Are we all saying that if a person makes a mistake they should never be able to work again? He broke the law and he should pay but forever NOT.

I believe we all deserve a second chance. He is still young and has alot to learn about life. So give him a break. none of us was there and have no clue as to what happened. We are not allowed to judge him. I would go see him perform.

Chris Brown acknowledged his mistake. We all make them. The problem is that Americans are very slow to forgive, if at all. I don't condone what he did but everyone deserves a second chance. We should not be so quick to judge, we don't have that right. no one is perfect.

The fight was Rihanna's fault. She hit him first. If she wouldn't of hit nothing would have happened. She needs to learn self control not him. When you hit someone, man or women, you put yourself in a postition be hit back!
djxray120at 9-25-2009
I think most all the hip-hop "artists" have no talent. They are a bunch of women-beating thugs who just knew somebody to get in the business. As far as their "job" is concerned, why don't they get an education and get a regular job like the rest of us. They don't speak properly or spell properly... lyrics are about F**** and disrespecting women. I think most rappers are a bad influence to today's youth. What's up with all the stupid ads for crap... what's that have to do with anything?

HIP HOP AND RAP IS ALL STREETWISE CRAP. IT SHOULD HAVE GONE OUT 20 YEARS AGO. BLACK MUSIC IS NOT EVEN IN A GROWTH PATTERN. IT'S LIKE IT'S STUCK ON STUPID! BROWN'S NEW ALBUM "GRAFFITI," NOW, THAT'S ORIGINAL!?@?@? IT'S ALL ABOUT BEING STREETWISE, GRAFFITI, TALKIN' SMACK. GET OVER IT PEOPLE ALREADY! BRING BACK SOME MUSIC THAT REALLY MADE YOU PUT YOUR GROOVE BACK INTO THE MUSIC. THERE IS NO RHYTHM OR HARMONY IN TODAY'S MUSIC CALLED HIP HOP, ESPECIALLY RAP. NO TALENTS EXIST LIKE RICK JAMES, TEENA MARIE, BOZ SCAGGS, KOOL AND THE GANG -- THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. THE SOPHISTICATION AND PRODUCTION OF THE MUSIC NON-EXISTENT.
