Chris Brown to Headline Powerhouse Concert in New Jersey

After months of court dates, media scrutiny and public ridicule, Chris Brown is back on the path to career recovery. The 20-year-old R&B singer gave his first in-depth interview about the February assault incident with ex-girlfriend Rihanna to CNN's Larry King earlier this month, then began his process of repentance.

In the past two weeks, Brown has been snapped cleaning up trash in his home state of Virgina as a part of his 180-day community service sentence, but with all his legal and moral troubles, Brown has spent very little time on stage in the past few months.

Apart from a fill-in performance for Drake on Lil Wayne's 'America's Most Wanted' tour in August, Brown has shied away from the stage and remained in the studio to work on his forthcoming LP. But after his long hiatus from performing, Brown is set to headline Power 105.1's Powerhouse concert in New Jersey next month, along with a slew of performers that includes Keri Hilson, Fabolous, The Dream and Trey Songz.

The concert will be Brown's first effort to promote his upcoming album, 'Graffitti,' and jump back into his stage show. Although there has been no release date set for 'Graffiti,' the album's first single, 'Transformer,' featuring Lil Wayne will hit the radio soon.

Power 105.1's Powerhouse concert will be held at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Oct. 27.

It was rihanna who touch him first and I agree he should of never touched her. She went too far. Some women ask for it though they test men too much. It's only so much that men can take before they snap.

for the most part he is a young man and he made a terrible mistake not saying that yall should feel the way yall do but it is 2 just let wat happen go and let this young man live his life... not 2 mention none of yall was there 2 kno exactly wat happen and the media can take truth and stretch it completely out of content.

The thing I hate is that we are so judgemental and believe everything the media says. We only know the medias version of what happened and Rhianna never spoke out on the matter to anyone not even her own parents. I do believe CB could've handled the matter a lot differently, but he didn't. I believe that eveyone deserves a chance to right their wrong if possible and he has a chance to show the world a more self controlled and mature Chris. For us to destroy this boy for one act or even feel one act is worse than another is wrong (is it okay if Rhianna did the beating?)we are so biased on sooo many levels. I don't condone anyone man or woman hitting one another, but it happens! To use CB as the face of domestic abuse and drag him down is not fair, the media targeted this young man and we brought the pitch forks and torches. We give the media too much power and don't always believe what you see, because from the statement her father gave when she returned home to the islands to be with her family after this so called beating the pictures looked worse than she did. If we all were judged and persecuted so brutally none of us would have a future. I'm all for CB getting his life back on track....he has a bright future ahead of him!

You guys need to get a life, "I will never listen to his music again" he screwed up, he is a damn kid, they were kids under the influence of alcohol, just like SANN0519 said, should he never be allowed to perform his job because he screwed up? Quit thinking these people are perfect, many woman have been hit by their teen boyfriends some probably your brothers or cousins. Rhianna isn't the first, last, or only chick to be beat but when it happens to her all hell breaks loose.

HIP HOP AND RAP IS ALL STREETWISE CRAP. IT SHOULD HAVE GONE OUT 20 YEARS AGO. BLACK MUSIC IS NOT EVEN IN A GROWTH PATTERN. IT'S LIKE IT'S STUCK ON STUPID! BROWN'S NEW ALBUM "GRAFFITI," NOW, THAT'S ORIGINAL!?@?@? IT'S ALL ABOUT BEING STREETWISE, GRAFFITI, TALKIN' SMACK. GET OVER IT PEOPLE ALREADY! BRING BACK SOME MUSIC THAT REALLY MADE YOU PUT YOUR GROOVE BACK INTO THE MUSIC. THERE IS NO RHYTHM OR HARMONY IN TODAY'S MUSIC CALLED HIP HOP, ESPECIALLY RAP. NO TALENTS EXIST LIKE RICK JAMES, TEENA MARIE, BOZ SCAGGS, KOOL AND THE GANG -- THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. THE SOPHISTICATION AND PRODUCTION OF THE MUSIC NON-EXISTENT.

I think most all the hip-hop "artists" have no talent. They are a bunch of women-beating thugs who just knew somebody to get in the business. As far as their "job" is concerned, why don't they get an education and get a regular job like the rest of us. They don't speak properly or spell properly... lyrics are about F**** and disrespecting women. I think most rappers are a bad influence to today's youth. What's up with all the stupid ads for crap... what's that have to do with anything?

The fight was Rihanna's fault. She hit him first. If she wouldn't of hit nothing would have happened. She needs to learn self control not him. When you hit someone, man or women, you put yourself in a postition be hit back!
