Media mogul Diddy, who recently announced plans to move his label Bad Boy to Interscope Records, will finally be releasing his "electro-hip-hop-soul funk" album 'Last Train to Paris' in early 2010. The album prominently features Diddy's new group Dirty Money, with singer Dawn Richard of Danity Kane and songwriter Kalenna Harper. Diddy has now revealed that 'Last Train' will also feature some big name guests, including Drake, T-Pain, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and possible even Jay-Z.
"The thing about the album, it's not about the features," Diddy told MTV. "Each artist, they got down with the story line, they got down with the movement. I think that's when features work -- when people come into your work and they adapt to what you're trying to portray."
Diddy had initially intended to release 'Last Train' in November, but it has been pushed back, likely due in part to his move to Interscope, and also to his concerns about releasing an auto-tune-utilizing dance album after Jay called for the death of the sound with "D.O.A."
We're interested to see how the album rolls out. From what we've heard, it's interesting, to say the least.
As for Dids' move to Interscope, he says, "I feel like I'm in great company. I'm in the best company of the world...I feel like how A-Rod felt when he got traded to the Yankees."
