Not every rapper likes to share their thoughts in 140 characters or less. Rapper Kid Cudi can attest to that. After much speculation, the Ohio native released an official statement regarding his Twitter account, which was canceled shortly before the release of his debut album, 'Man on the Moon: The End of Day,' "I wanted to keep my mind to myself again," Cudi revealed to herfection.com. "I put so much of me into my music i gotta draw the line somewhere." The 25-year-old rapper, who calls himself the "loner stoner" on his breakout record 'Day 'N' Nite,' felt the words he shared on the social networking site were doing more harm for himself than good. "Plus, my words fall into the wrong hands a lot."
While Cudi won't be chopping it up with his fans via Twitter, he assures he won't be turning his back on them. "I do love you and I'll see you at the shows and give up daps and pound[s] when i can," he stated. "You never turned your back on me and I wont forget that."
Sales prove fans are on the rapper's side. Cudi's debut peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, selling more than 104,000 units.
