Even though he somehow didn't receive a spot on MTV's blogosphere-frying Hottest MCs List, Eminem has had quite the comeback in 2009. Fortunately for his fans, that's just the beginning. According to reports (and now the man himself), the ever-deranged Slim Shady intends to fully return in November on 'Relapse 2.'In addition to expected collaborations with Dr. Dre and 50 Cent, Em has turned heads by revealing Just Blaze as a featured producer on the record.
"Me and Fif did a couple of records a couple of months ago in Vegas - one song for my record and another for his," said Eminem in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45. "I just had an idea like, "Yo, why don't we do something we aint done yet" and kinda go back and forth... K'Naan has two tracks on the record and Just Blaze has four, possibly five... I definitely feel like I'm in a little different space right now. I don't know. With the last record, it felt like a lot of it had to do with me being sober."
After the Eminem interview aired, Just Blaze took to his Twitter account to whet appetites even more.
"Mark my words," claimed the super producer. "The song that sets off relapse [sic] will make you want to bash your head into concrete steps until it explodes into tiny pieces. Yall know I never brag about my work. I don't even talk abt it 90% of the time. But this joint bangs so hard. Mannnn."
Well, if Em's guest appearance on 'Forever' and overwhelmingly vicious Mariah Carey diss track are any indication, then we just might have the borderline insane Slim Shady on our side again. With a Just Blaze palate to back him up, I think we can all agree that this is a good thing.
