Nas in Trouble With IRS, Owes Uncle Sam $2.5 Million

NasIt seems that Kelis isn't the only one who's dipping into Nas' pocket.

The Queens-bred emcee reportedly skipped out on paying taxes in 2006 and 2007 and owes the IRS more than $2.5 million in back taxes, according to TMZ,

For the last several months the rapper has been busy hashing out the financial details of his divorce from Kelis. After officially splitting in April, Kelis alleged that she was left high and dry and was receiving nothing from her ex's reported annual earnings of $11 million. Nas retorted stating that he made closer to $4 million, mostly from his record deal with label Def Jam. A judge ruled in Kelis' favor, ordering Nas to fork over $55,000 per month in support plus. Additionally, Nas must cover her monthly mortgage payment, prenatal expenses and medical coverage.

Although the once inseparable couple has parted ways, Nas and Kelis share an infant son named Knight Jones, who was born in July. Since the lil' guy arrived, the pair has appeared to be on good terms and were even spotted last month hanging out together at a New York City nightclub.

But now he's got bigger problems .. problems that total $2,584,206.31. Ouch!

No word yet on when Nas is planning to pay his tab.

If off-topic or promotional comments "will be removed," as it says below the comments made, then why do I see Meetrich.com, an ad for Ugg boots, Gucci, etc.? Strange...............

In regards to MWHULLETTS' comment: Below the comments it says that "inappropriate comments will be removed." What I'm wondering is how in the world were his comments allowed to stay? Wow! The language! Just because he can't spell one of the words doesn't make that one and the others any less filthy. That said, his comment is kind of funny, and he is right about Nicolas Cage owing back taxes, too. Strange, though, that the comment was allowed to stay with the language.

Stfu, u haters. He'll pay that off, like last months cell phone bill. Then all will be well. As for all you cry babies, and racist losers, who can't keep Obama out of your mouths (pun intended), he has nothing to do with this article.

Stick to the script, bitches....

Lock all of them up as soon as they make their first million. You know they are going to end up in trouble anyway. Rappers aren't playing with a full deck.
