Known for his sexually explicit lyrics, Gucci sticks to the script, but in a nasal (and somewhat nauseating) package. "Now she tipsy/ Slow dancing in my mansion with no panties, tryna' get me," he raps. "Three girls, Gucci trippin' / That's a lot of women/ Expensive ghetto jeans on/ designer heels ... you feel me? / I don't want no violence, but now she tryna' kill me/ she tryna make me feel her, I'm tryna make her feel me."
For his part, Usher commands the song's sugary chorus, making for a mismatched pairing that sounds more like his song than Gucci's. "There's a spotlight, ain't nothing without you girl," he sings. "And the dance floor? Ain't nothin' without you girl/ You a show stopper, let's get it poppin.'"
'Spotlight' will be featured on Gucci's forthcoming album 'The State vs. Radric Davis.'
