Chris Brown Is Still Angry With Oprah, Says He'll Never Hit a Woman Again

Chris Brown Chris Brown's media blitz is in full effect. Although the jury is still out on what the end result of all of this publicity will be, we can't blame the guy for trying to better his public image.

Yesterday (October 21), the 20-year-old (fittingly wearing another bow tie) chatted with Hot 97 / New York radio DJ Angie Martinez. During the conversation, Brown revealed that he is still very much upset with Oprah Winfrey for not coming to his aid and that he will never hit another woman. He also spent some time talking about his career plans.

"I don't dis Oprah because I respect her as a woman [and] what she does for women all over the world, but I just feel me and her did so many things together," Brown said. " I just feel that at the time where would've I need a helping hand-not to boost my career just me as a person-for her to reach out and talk to me and Rihanna or something and make it like, 'look this is what it is, this is wrong, this is right, this is not what it's supposed to be.' I'm not saying having me on the show ... just help. That's all I was asking for. Because at the end of the day I thought we [Oprah and I] had that relationship to where it could be like that."

Brown also took issue with the talk show queen lumping him in with other men who have domestically abused women. "[I separate myself from those people] because, at the end of the day, the mistakes that I've made, I'm learning from them. Nobody knows what went on in that car. I'm not going to discuss what went on in that car, but I'm just saying ... it's just not who I am as a person."

Shortly after Brown's February assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna, Oprah reiterated to her viewers: "If a man hits you once, he will hit you again." Brown however doesn't believe that comment applies to him personally.

"Statistically that goes into that, but me, I'm a guy who learns from his mistakes fast. I'm a guy who's real afraid of that, so I learn from my mistakes. I can be certain [that he will never hit a woman again]. I can be certain as Christopher Maurice Brown that it won't happen," he pledged. "I'm doing my domestic violence counseling classes and I see the hurt that it's put a lot of people through. I've seen the hurt that its put my family through. Whether it's been my family, Rihanna, [or] anybody and I don't want to inflict that on anyone."

The Virginia native stated that his court ordered domestic violence classes have been helpful and that he would partake in the program even if he didn't have to.

Despite his legal obligation, Brown is set to release his third album, 'Graffiti,' later this year. "I think my gift to the world is inspiring kids and inspiring people in my music," he said.

Brown also admitted that the material on the album will address much of what he has endured over the past few months. "I wouldn't call it a 'Confessions' album, but it's my version of my life in a nutshell."

Ironically, singles from both Brown and Rihanna hit 'net this week. Brown's 'Crawl,' and Rihanna's 'Russian Roulette' should tide fans over until both of their albums are released.
