Ludacris Sued for $61K in Unpaid Legal Fees

LudacrisAtlanta rapper Ludacris is being sued by his lawyers for skipping out on his legal bill. Law firm Carlton Fields P.A. is suing Luda and his Ludacris Foundation for $61,820. The company alleges that they represented the Grammy winner, his mother and his foundation in a personal negligence and injuries case from 2007.

Aside from legal fees, the firm claims to have not been refunded for out-of-pocket expenses. They began representation in March of 2008 and suspended it in April 2009 for non-payment of the outstanding balance.

Born in Chicago, Luda moved to Atlanta as a teen and has been there ever since. His foundation, which was started in 2001, is a non-profit organization focused on inspiring youth through education and fostering community development. "Giving back to our communities is not new to us, it is true to who we are," said Luda's mother and company president, Roberts Shields "Through the Ludacris foundation, we are able to broaden our reach."

As previously reported the company recently gifted 20 lucky fans with used car and six months worth of gas.
