According to reports, California rapper The Game has officially changed his name to "Game," dropping the article "The."
West coast website Dubcnn.com claims Game dropped "the" from his name for his next record, 'The R.E.D. Album,' but no explanation has been given for the change.
Game's album is said to feature Chris Brown, Akon, Diddy, Young Jeezy, Beanie Sigel and Rick Ross, with production from Timbaland and Pharrell.
Though Game recently appeared in a picture with former mentor Dr. Dre, there is no word as of yet as to whether Dre will provide production or vocals to the album, which is slated for a December 8 release.
