Plies Pays Fan $1,000 to Leave His Concert

PliesRapper Plies did a good deed during a recent concert at Florida State University. After noticing a young fan in the crowd he paid the little girl $1,000 to leave.

Plies was set to perform his smash hit 'Bust It Baby,' but felt the little girl was too young to hear the song's raunchy lyrics.

After pulling $1,000 out of his pocket and handing it to the girl, he told her to have her parents take her somewhere "nice."

Although there's no word on why the youngster was allowed to attend the concert in the first place, Plies' actions added a nice touch to an event deemed controversial to some. Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane was billed to headline the event amid the opposition of some students who felt the former trap-star's lyrics were too violent. Gucci later pulled out due to house arrest. He was not able to get the trip cleared as he was forced to remain home leading up to his October 26 court date for alleged parole violation.

The rappers recently collaborated on the song 'Wasted,' which will appear on Gucci's forthcoming release 'The State vs. Radric Davis.' They are also rumored to have a track together on Plies' next album, 'Goon Affiliated.'

I think people are missing the point of this article. Getting caught up in what school he was performing...it doesn't matter! The fact that a little girl was at a COLLEGE concert was inappropriate on so many levels and Plies, knowing what his lyrics contained, had enough decency to have the little girl leave. The issue should be with the adult(s) who thought it was alright to bring a child to a function like that. Because Plies did what the adult should've done.

Smart move. Plies knows that not everybody should hear his explicit lyrics. I think that fan was too young to hear them, so he paid her to leave.

I'm not a fan of Plies the artist because of his lyrics (and lack of originality), but I am now a fan of him as a person. Artists shouldn't have to be worried about content when they're in an adult venue...he cared enough to address her and her parents. When there's so much negative attention on the hip-hop community in the media, this is a decidely refreshing story. :-)

Why the hell is up with all of the promotional crap??

I like Plies and I'm glad to see that he is watching out for his younger fans. It definitely shows the type of guy he is and I have even more respect for him now.

It really makes me happy that a "gangsta rapper"
realizes that maybe his songs/and or lyrics are
inappropiate for a younger crowd. I am a national socialist, (google it !) but it just goes to show that there are good things in every race..way to go Plies, I just might have to give you a listen.
sincerly: MJL

For once, a guy used a little of his intelligence....lol..And why was the little girl there in the first place?..For all that matters, why was her father or mother too?..Rap music is one if not the biggest moral decay of society..Yet, people (mostly young i think,), buy it. Why?...Who's dumber, the rapper or the people that listen to this crap?..The people that buy this crap of course is the answer. Wasnt it eminem that stated, and i quote "i wont even let my own kids listen to my music"...Here's a guy (eminem), that wont even let his own family listen to his degrading music...lol. But for all the rest of the dumb people in the world, please buy it and make me rich....LOL. Amazing...Well, at least this rapper was thinking of a little girl that he knew didnt belong to his show and listen to his trash..lol..Are artists today, scared to sing of love, or anything nice? Is foul vulgar lang all we think of or know anymore?...Singing of beauty, or love, doesnt make you weak..Go back to tommy james and the shondells or the beatles, to the british invasion to the great songs of the 80's. Oh well, man never ceases to amaze me..lol....Oh well...good night all.

So, it's ok to say things like a "white" school, but if someone says it's a "black" thing, everybody gets mad? Who's racist?
