Nine People Shot Outside of San Francisco Hip-Hop Concert

In yet another sickening violent development connected to hip-hop, nine innocent bystanders were shot Sunday night outside a concert promoted by San Francisco radio station 106.1 KMEL. Dubbed 'House of Soul,' the concert featured R&B crooner Trey Songz and other notable singers.

Around 10:30 pm, a fight broke out outside the Regency Center (a venue in San Francisco's famously decrepit Tenderloin neighborhood). Nine people were hit and went to the hospital with non-threatening injuries.

"A fist fight started," explained Sergeant Lyn Tomioka of the SFPD. "The fight escalated and somebody began shooting. Nine people were hit in their lower extremities."

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the gunman fled on foot. He has been described as a black male in his 30s wearing an unbuttoned white shirt with pinstripes, white t-shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap.

"This was at the end of an event, and several people were around at the time and witnessed what happened," said Sgt. Wilfred Williams, a Police Department spokesman. "We are encouraging those people to come forward and help us identify the shooter."

This news comes in the midst of a violent year surrounding hip-hop. Last week, a New Boyz concert erupted into a near riot in Michigan. Six people were left unconscious, while one person had a seizure and another was stabbed with a pen.

People have to take responsibility for their on actions. This could have happened at a country, rock, pop, rap, soul, r&b or any other concert. Ignorance is ignorance. Just like the people who sit and judge. For the racists people who start with the input. white people are killing as well as blacks. Whites are the ones that commit more crimes blacks are the ones that are placed in prisons for the crimes.

It is a tragic event that these thugs who shot up the audience at a hip-hop concert couldn't have been better shots and killed at least one of the gars that were milling around in their crack smoking daze.

I used to be a cop and this was the description of 99% of all wanted fugitives. The other 1% just didnt have pinstripes on their shirts.
