Game Reconnects With Shyne Post-Prison

Rapper Game revealed that he has spoken to Shyne since his recent deportation to Belize. "Just got off a long call with my brother Shyne!" the Game wrote via Twitter. "Glad he [is] home. He kicked some much needed knowledge in my ear, so I'm off to a positive start." Although he didn't elaborate on the details of their talk, rumor has it that Shyne may be signing to Game's Black Wall Street label imprint.

As previously reported Shyne, born Jamal Barrow, was released from prison in October but ran into immigration issues once he got out. Despite the help of his father, who is the Prime Minister of Belize, to keep him in New York, where he has lived since he was a teenager, the 30-year-old was immediately deported back to his native Belize. While he continues to fight for his return to the U.S., Shyne is said to be working on new music and recently spoke to students at his alma mater Wesley College about the importance of education. "I came up on the streets with guys that gang-banged and were into criminal activity and those tools never worked," he told the students. "Those tools, you either end up spending the rest of your life in prison or sleeping in a grave for the rest of your life. But with the tools that you are getting here as far as education is concerned, that is the ultimate tool and with that tool you can transcend any situation because I am just like you."

Shyne, a former Bad Boy records artist, was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for his roll in a nightclub shooting at a New York City nightclub he attended with Sean "Diddy" Combs and Jennifer Lopez. He served eight years of the sentence and was released Oct. 6.
