Perez Hilton Drops Charges Against Black Eyed Peas Manager

According to reports, the assault charges filed by blogger/personality Perez Hilton against the Black Eyed Peas' manager Liborio Molino were dropped on Wednesday (Nov. 18).

Molina issued an apology to Hilton, who claimed Molina punched him in the face outside of a Toronto nightclub on June 22, after Hilton called Peas rapper Will.I.Am the derogatory homosexual term, "f-----." Molina has agreed to neither contact Hilton, nor set foot within 100 meters of the Cobra NightClub, where the assault took place. He has also been barred from carrying a weapon for 12 months and required to donate $500 to Toronto's Red Door Family Shelter.

"I apologize for what I did on June 22 of 2009," Molina said in a statement. "Even though you engaged in highly offensive comments, including a homophobic slur to my clients, I acknowledge that these kinds of issues should not be resolved through a physical response." Though Hilton's attorneys took issue with Molina's apology initially, they ultimately accepted it. "Although accepting the fact that he shouldn't resort to violence, he attempted to say that there was a precipitating cause," Hilton's lawyer responded. " A sincere apology is a sincere apology."
Hilton, who still has a $25,000 civil suit against Molina, said that the manager and Will.I.Am "can look forward to reading my in-depth thoughts about that awful night in my new book." The infamous blogger says the two assaulted him due to his criticism of the Black Eyed Peas' new album, 'The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies),' an infringement on his right to free speech.
