Multi-platinum selling R&B singer and producer The Dream was snubbed by the Grammy Awards for the second year running, and he took to Twitter to let his dissatisfaction be known. While Beyonce received 10 Grammy nominations, Taylor Swift received eight nods and Maxwell, Kanye along with The Black Eyed Peas all picked up six, The Dream's 'Love vs. Money' came up empty, and he's not happy about it.Dream said a mouthful over eight tweets, calling into question the taste and intelligence of the Grammy voters. He claimed his writing on Beyonce and Jamie Foxx's albums was responsible for getting "those albums considered in the first place," and described the music business as a "dying industry." The singer and recently appointed Executive Vice President of Def Jam then took credit for the current "sound" of R&B and suggested that perhaps his label was at fault or his "a-- -kissing skills aren't up to par."
The Dream concluded by saying "Stop the hating ASAP and this ain't no Kanye s--- ... and yes I am b------'."
Such is the state of the music industry -- artists playing executives, blaming the label they supposedly run for not helping them get a Grammy nod.
