Last week, several new Eminem tracks hit the net, one of which is causing some familiar controversy. The song, 'Elevator' calls out three singers; former 'NSYNC member Lance Bass, and American Idol's Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert. All three achieved their success through less traditional means, whether via televised talent contest or 90's boy band trend, but perhaps more significantly, all three are openly gay.
In the song, Em rhymes, "Sorry, Lance, Mr. Lambert and Aiken ain't gonna make it/ They get so mad, when I call them both fake/ It's all these f---ing voices in my head, I can't take it/ Someone shut that f---ing baby up, before I shake it."
Several websites, however, claim that Eminem is back at his old homophobic tricks. "Eminem cleverly avoids using the word 'f------" in his new song 'Elevator' when referring to Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken, replacing it with the words 'fake it's," contends Towleroad.com, a site which refers to itself as "More than gay news for more gay men." The blog believes, "Of course, phonetically, it sounds just like 'f---ing."
Adam Lambert responded via his Twitter account, saying, "Wow, Eminem mentioned me in a song?! I must be doing something right!? Even if he used the 'F word,' whatever," which he followed with, "Oh, he says 'fake it.' My bad."
Thus far, Eminem's reps have declined to comment on the song's lyrics, and have yet to offer an official lyric transcription.

Yeah cause Eminem is a real man....lol! What a joke! If a white male country singer singled out a group of black hip hop artists in one of his songs and had a word in it that rhymed with the N***ER the whole country would be in his face!

I really don't understand how you can compare the two. In both cases they are wrong but to try to equate homosexuality with the history of slavery or racism is over the edge. Example, in the 60's a gay person could get married and hide the fact that he was gay. Not to say he should or it was right but that option was available to him. Not the same for blacks or other minority race groups. Couldn't hide the fact that they were black or whatever. Had seperate this and that. Not to mention the civil rights that they fought for have benefited homosexuals in this country. It's really comparing apples and oranges.

I think Eminem has a gay obsession. First that thing with Moby and now these three. Hot boy has the hots for the boy/boy crowd.

You guys censor out all sorts of perfectly normal, everyday words, but leave all this crap in here? AOL, can't you do better than this? Seriously!
As to Eminem--he calls 'em as he sees 'em. Can't fault the man for speaking honestly. It's his right.

Sad, desperate publicity ploy by Em. Try getting some talent or doing something interesting -- might work better for you. Aging wannabe -- not a pretty picture.

Eminem is such a loser and wife beater. Nothing against rapers, but a musician can either sing or play an instrument. He's negative and boring.

Please AOL get rid of these adws, I reported the first five or six ads on this article and nothing happened, they are still there taking up space, they should be charged a fee for the advertising.

The pot calling the kettle black. A non-talented white rap poser dissing some non-talented immoral degenerates. NOW THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!!! LOL

I like Eminem. Face it, people, we don't need all the gay junk on the show. Many other singers can be sexy and do the show without any sexual content. Adam lambert is a joke. really.

Exactly! Men kissing men in the mouth and feigning oral sex with other men on prime time is over the top! What's the call from the FCC on this one?

When Eminem records a listenable and intelligible song, maybe I will consider his comments. The three openly gay artists in the article are 100 times more talented than Eminem. How did this guy ever sell a single record????
