Producer Dana "Rockwilder" Stinson is giving aspiring producers and rappers a chance to win $30,000 worth of prizes by way of the Kang of All Battles contest, which he will host. The man behind hits for Jay-Z, Redman and Method Man, and Busta Rhymes is kicking off the event promoting Beat Thang and Beat Thang Virtual softwares. By purchasing the beat merchandise customers will be automatically entered into the contest. Both a rapper and a producer will be chosen as winners based on their ability to drop the best lyrics and make the perfect beat. Aside from $10,000 in cash, the grand prize includes a full-page ad in XXL Magazine, two tickets to the BET Hip-Hop Awards, and an all expense paid trip to meet with music industry heavyweights, including Rockwilder.
Contestants must be at least 13-years-old and are allowed to submit only three songs or beats. Submissions with extreme profanity or derogatory content will be disqualified. Winners will be announced June 15, 2010.
