Shyne Recruits Shawty Redd for New Album
After surviving a nine-year prison stint and deportation following his heralded release, Shyne is ready to put his troubles behind him and turn his focus back to the music. The Belize native has reportedly set up musical shop in his home country, determined to get back to work.
According to the Hip-Hop Enquirer, Shyne has commissioned the help of famed producer Shawty Redd to help compose the follow-up to 2004's 'Godfather Buried Alive.' Redd, who has worked with artists like Young Jeezy in the past, will reportedly fly out to Belize to begin production on the album.
Hip-Hop Enquirer's Dennis Byron said he has been in touch with Redd's management, who have confirmed that the two will be working together. "His management contacted me several weeks ago about flying me to Belize to capture the behind-the-scenes of Shawty Redd working with Shyne, so of course I jumped at the opportunity," Byron said. "I had already photographed Shawty earlier in his career and I was also at Shyne's trial in New York City nine years ago, so it's like a reunion"
