Philadelphia rapper and current Jay-Z rival Beanie Sigel was injured in a car accident in Baltimore on Saturday (Dec. 19). Sigel, who was leaving a recording studio, was riding in a car that was side swiped and then run-off the road by a tractor trailer. The car was totaled and Sigel sustained injuries to his face, arms and legs. At press time no other information regarding additional passengers was released. According to his rep, the rapper did not seek medical treatment for his injuries and performed at a show in Norfolk, Va., Sunday. In recent months, Sigel has found his name back in the news due to his ongoing beef with Jay-Z. After being introduced to the music industry as a member of Jay's Roc-A-Fella crew, the Philly emcee felt abandoned by his Brooklyn counterpart and recently released the track 'Average Cat' to address the issue. In response, Jay stated that many of Sigel's career downfalls were his own fault. "Beanie Sigel, at the time, and you can look it up if you'd like, was driving two Bentleys," he said in an interview. "With his momma in the sticks and selling 800,000 records. I don't know. What more can you do for somebody at that point? At some point, you have to look in the mirror and look at yourself."
Sigel is said to be linking with part-time Hov hater, 50 Cent for an upcoming tour. The two previously collaborated on the Jay-Z diss track 'I Go Off,' which was released in November.
