Michael Jackson's concert documentary 'This Is It' appeared relatively out of nowhere, just months after the shocking death of the King of Pop, but still managed to break records at the box office. Now a video for Jackson's posthumous 'This Is It' single is receiving a similar amount of attention, relatively out of the blue. The video, directed by Academy Award-nominated director Spike Lee opens with footage from Jackson's hometown, Gary, Indiana. A closeup of a handmade sign directing visitors to Jackson's childhood home and street signs Jackson Family Blvd. and Jackson St. show the weight of the Jackson's influence on their community, while the classic concert footage and photographs that follow provide a glimpse into Jackson's impact on the rest of the world.
Watch the video after the jump. And don't forget to check out 'This Is It.' It's pretty awesome.
