According to reports, Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men has been cheating on his wife for the past nine years with another woman, and justifying his adultery by his Israelite faith. The faith allows its male followers to marry up to seven women.Popular gossip Web site Bossip cites a source, claiming swimsuit model Avonte Cherie began a relationship with Stockman before he married his wife Sharhonda Jones in 2001. Cherie and Stockman continued their relationship through the course of his marriage because Stockman claimed his Israelite faith allowed for multiple wives or partners. Unfortunately, according to the source, Stockman's wife has been oblivious to this fact.
Cherie and Stockman's "spiritual marriage" ended earlier this year, when she discovered that he had other spiritual relationships with women in Hawaii and New York. With the cat out of the bag, will Sharhonda stay around 'til the end of the road?
In other Stockman news, the R&B singer was stricken with the H1N1 virus in early November, the same month Boyz II Men dropped their latest covers album, ' Love.'
