Respected New York City DJ Funkmaster Flex reined in the New Year by dissing a slew of 2009's most talked about celebrities and performers via Twitter. Very few escaped Flex's wrath, from Russell Simmons to Beyonce, the DJ went in on friend and foe alike. "No disrespect but Solange [Knowles] is never going to pop (sell records). Beyonce shouldn't have to carry all that dead weight. Kelly [Rowland] is not going to pop also," Flex tweeted.
While he introduced many of his New Year's Eve critiques with "no dissrespect [sic]" he still voiced some pretty disrespectful, albeit honest, opinions. "What about R.Kelly dropping that brick album. 'Mr. touchy feely' -- crazy that this is allowed ... " he wrote about R.Kelly. "Christina Millian has played herself as well ... When Dream kicks her to the curb ... I'm going to seek and detroy ... " And finally, "There is no new era hat that can fit Rihanna ... No way!!!"
