New details have emerged about the murder case of Atlanta producer Shawty Redd, who turned himself in to Georgia police on New Year's Day, after shooting and killing a guest in his home. Redd, born Demetrius Stewart, claimed that an altercation occurred between himself and 35-year-old Detroit native Damon Martin, who he allegedly shot in self-defense, after being threatened by the man.
However, police have revealed that only one gun was found in the house; the one that was used to kill Martin, which hurts Redd's self-defense claim.
The police also confirmed that Redd and Martin were the only people in the house at the time of the murder, however the rest of the facts remain unclear.
Bond will be set for Redd on Jan. 12. He is being held on first-degree murder charges.
