Rapper Snoop Dogg is furthering his acting career, taking his tenth studio album,'Malice N Wonderland,' and turning it into a movie. In the film, the Long Beach native will star as a superhero. Although rapping is his main claim to fame Snoop has dabbled in the acting world, having appeared on the soap opera 'One Life to Live,' but this time around he wants to show his range and hopes to one day gel both his music and acting career. "My star power is as big as any actor in Hollywood," he said. According to Snoop, his previous acting appearances have not allowed him to play a character different from his public persona, so he taking matters into his own hands with this latest film. "I play a superhero named Malice, trying to bring happiness to Wonderland."
The inspiration for the film came out of what he sees as music video channels no longer playing music videos. "The [music] video game is f----- up! It was time to do something different that the fans could see and enjoy."
No word yet on when the film will be released.
