Former Death Row Records head Suge Knight is being taken to court for failing to make child support payments.
According to reports, papers have been filed in a Los Angeles court against the former gangsta rap mogul by a woman named Tammy Renell Hawkins, seeking child support for their 4-year-old, Taz.
Knight's label, Death Row, was a west coast powerhouse, at one point the home to Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Dr. Dre, The Dogg Pound, grossing over $100 million annually.
Unfortunately for Hawkins, those days are long gone. Knight's current earnings are $1307 per month, so even if she wins her case, she stands to win only $302 per month to help raise their child.
Meanwhile, Death Row's current owners, Lara Lavi and Wideawake Entertainment, who purchased its catalog in bankruptcy court for $18 million dollars, are in a legal battle of their own, with the company that financed the acquisition, New Solutions Financial Corp.
