Former Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams is making some big changes for 2010. The Illinois songstress will make her first appearance as Roxie Hart in the Broadway play 'Chicago' beginning this February. In light of her push to make forward moves, Williams has decided to find herself new management. She announced this week that she will no longer be working with former Destiny's Child manager Mathew Knowles or his management team, Music World Entertainment.
"After much prayer and consideration I have decided to part ways from my management team, Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment," Williams said in a statement. "From my time in Destiny's Child to my solo career, I am grateful for everything Mathew and his team has done for me. We've shared great success together. However, as I move in a new direction in my career, I felt it was time. I wish Mathew Knowles and the Music World Entertainment family all the best." Mathew Knowles, the father of R&B singers Beyonce and Solange made headlines recently when he split from his wife Tina Knowles, following a paternity scandal.
Former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland also split from Knowles' management in 2008 in favor of working with American Idol producer Simon Fuller.
