Miami rapper Rick Ross has announced plans to host a blood drive Monday (Jan. 18), in support of the people of Haiti. Rick Ross Charities have partnered with Community Blood Centers and 24 Hour Fitness to launch the event, which coincides with Martin Luther King Day, to send blood to the victims of the earthquake that struck Port-au-Prince on Jan. 12."We have to come together to assist Haiti in anyway possible," Rick Ross said. "Give blood, donate what you can and remember the relief efforts for Haiti need to be long term."
Ross will be making a personal appearance at the drive, which begins at 5:30PM and ends at 10:30PM, at 24 Hour Fitness in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
The rapper has been doing charity work in support of Haiti since December, when he performed at the Starfest Multi-Cultural Music Festival in front of 500,000 fans.
