Fresh off their recent accent up Mt. Kilimanjaro to promote clean drinking water in developing countries, Lupe Fiasco and Kenna are back in the United States, diving head first into the Haiti relief effort. The pair joined a group of eclectic celebrities including Linkin Park, Slash, Peter Gabriel, The All-American Rejects, Alanis Morissette and Dave Matthews Band to produce a new Music for Relief project, that allocates all profits to the Haitian relief effort. All musicians involved contributed ten original songs to a new compilation album 'Download to Donate to Haiti,' which can be downloaded directly at MusicForRelief.org. Visitors to the site may also give an additional donation with their purchase. Lupe and Kenna collaborated on the track 'Resurrection,' which was produced by Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda. All profits from Music for Relief will be funneled directly to Haiti, through Habitat for Humanity, the Dave Matthews BAMA Works and the UN Foundation's Central Emergency Response Fund. The organizations will provide water, food, medical supplies and housing solutions for those affected by the earthquake.
