Actor/hip-hop head Michael Rapaport hosted the event and brought everyone in the building to the stage, including a few random celebrities like Charlie Murphy and comedian Affion Crockett. But it was the flock of rap elite who took the stage that made the night special. Everyone from Greg Nice, Jeru the Damaja, Talib Kweli, Hi-Tek, Mos Def, Jay Electronica, KRS-One, Bizzy B, Dres of Black Sheep and Consequence jumped on the mic. Unfortunately, Ghostface Killah, a diabetic himself, was missing in action. GFK was expected to perform and listed on the bill but never took the stage. On a brighter note, fans who made it past 1AM were treated to a Tribe reunion when Q-Tip took the stage alongside Phife and Ali Shaheed Muhammad.
Check out footage from the event.
