New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne is a well-known sports buff. He often name-checks athletes in his songs, has appeared on ESPN and collects quarterback Brett Favre memorabilia. Therefore, it comes as little surprise that he's picking Favre's Minnesota Vikings over his hometown New Orleans Saints to head to the Super Bowl. "I'm rooting for Brett because I'm a diehard," Weezy told MTV. "I believe the Vikings will win because of the running attack ... The Saints give up about 150 rushing yards a game, and the Vikings have arguably the best running back in the game [Adrian Peterson] ... I believe the Vikings defense will frustrate Brees."
The Saints and Vikings play on Sunday evening, and the winner will head to Super Bowl XLIV in South Florida to play the winner of Sunday's Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets game.
Fellow rappers/sports fans Jay-Z and Fabolous have also weighed in, on that game, Jay picking the Jets and Fab pulling for the Colts. The Super Bowl takes place on Feb. 7.
