R&B princess Ciara didn't receive a very warm welcome when she joined Kanye West and Amber Rose at the Givenchy fashion show in Paris on Tuesday night (Jan. 26.) The ATL singer, who has been cited as the muse of Givenchy artistic director Riccardo Tisci, showed up nearly 40 minutes late for the show, to an impatient and irritated crowd of photographers. Organizers had reportedly held the show until her arrival, so when CiCi refused to allow photographers enough time to snap a few worthy shots of her, she was treated to some hearty boos before retreating to her seat in the front row.Despite her less-than-friendly reception at the show, Tisci and his guests still toasted Ciara at a private cocktail party following the debut of the Givenchy line. She was the guest of honor at the upscale reception, which was held at Paris' Ritz Hotel. Ciara, who says she's been busy working on her new album, didn't offer much of an apology for the slip up. "I'm so happy I was able to be on time -- well, sort of," she said. "I've been finishing my album." But she did take some time to praise the French fashion brand for their work, telling the Associated Press that "[Givenchy] is about taking risks, and having edge and being strong."

a no-name, no-talent arriving late for a fashion show IS NOT NEWS. these online discussions should be reserved for notable, talented, important singers such as bono, susan boyle, sir elton john, the who, tracy chapman, bruce springsteen etc. etc.....you know, PEOPLE WHO ARE TALENTED.

are you kidding me people, even if you don't necessarily listen to her music, she was all over the place vidoes, radio, etc., in my opinion she is very talented, aside from that, she may have had a very good reason to be late, we don't know.

Kanye interrupted, as usual, drunkenly blurting, "Yeah she was late, aight, but Beyonce was MO' late!"

I guess that makes Simon on CP time as well. Seem that white make has a problem with being on time also.

If you can't be courteous enough to show up on time then be courteous enough not to agree to show up. You are not special.

Wouldn't you love to have seen/heard someone tell her "We could'nt wait Dearie? See you next year, maybe?

Arrogant puss! Moving her to the D list, don't mention, don't toast and certainly DON'T INVITE. Oh these phony Divas, always pulling stunts seeking extra free publicity, obviously she achieved her goal. Lateness by anyone in my realm is not tolerated barring a seven point quake or tsunami type incident. If invited to my events, even death of a loved one is no reasonable excuse, whoever died will still be dead after all courses and entertainments.

Ok. Ciara showed up late at a Paris show. (Like anyone cares about Paris fashion anymore.) Poor form on her part I'll give you. But she was then booed because she refused to hold up the show even more so the jackals of the French press could take pictures? The same jackals who murdered Princess Diana? They can go scr*w themselves!
