Though his album has shifted release dates several times, Usher has officially confirmed that his new record, 'Raymond v. Raymond' will be coming out on March 30. Jermaine Dupri, who produced the album's 'Fooling Around,' explained that, while several songs have already leaked, Usher doesn't plan on recording any new material. "His album date is set. I doubt you'll get new records," Dupri told MTV. "You're gonna get what's basically there, but it's a solid record. His album is a solid record. People gonna love it." The multi-platinum singer has released several singles already, including 'Papers,' and 'Hey Daddy,' the video for which debuted on MTV this morning.
Previously, producer Bryan Michael Cox discussed collaborating with the singer as well. "I think Usher is in a place where he really wants to express what's going on in his life, as any artist would," Cox said. "All the greats did it. Marvin Gaye did 'Here, My Dear.' All the greats express where they are personally."
Speaking of great, Usher's schedule for February isn't looking too shabby. He will be performing a tribute to Michael Jackson at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, during halftime at the NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 14, and at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
