The lineup for the Paid Dues Independent Hip Hop Festival has been announced and it looks like a West Coast rap fan's dream. The festival marks its fifth anniversary with performances by left coast artists Tha Dogg Pound, Dilated Peoples, Strong Arm Steady, Freestyle Fellowship, Psycho Realm, People Under the Stairs, Del Tha Funky Homosapien and his cousin, the headlining act, Ice Cube.
The lineup also features indie acts from the rest of the country, including Freeway, Tech N9ne, R.A. the Rugged Man and Curren$y, and also a first-ever performance by the festival's organizer, Murs.
"I'm super stoked," Murs said. "I've never got to do my own set at Paid Dues. I've done Coachella, Bonnaroo, Rock the Bells, but I've never done my own festival. I'm so excited to perform stuff off the new record me and 9th [Wonder] got called 'ForNever."
Hosting duties will be handled by Shade 45's Angela Yee and DJ Wonder, amongst others. The event is scheduled to take place in San Bernadino, California, on April 3, 2010.
